Three hours to make $6.40 towards thousands per month in costs... nah. You're not going to insult your way out of having to make that make an ounce of sense.

I suppose the attitude in teaching the MA in the U.K. is that it’s a privilege to teaching not a means of making a profit. We gift our time for the privilege of transmitting our arts and there’s a ‘purity’ in that. The senior grades have donated dōgi and I’ve even donated a couple of swords and hakama to the dojo. It fosters a society of helping one another rather than attempting to make a salary out of it all.

If teaching MA is you job, then I can understand this, of course
