I suppose the attitude in teaching the MA in the U.K. is that it’s a privilege to teaching not a means of making a profit. We gift our time for the privilege of transmitting our arts and there’s a ‘purity’ in that. The senior grades have donated dōgi and I’ve even donated a couple of swords and hakama to the dojo. It fosters a society of helping one another rather than attempting to make a salary out of it all.Three hours to make $6.40 towards thousands per month in costs... nah. You're not going to insult your way out of having to make that make an ounce of sense.
If teaching MA is you job, then I can understand this, of course
