Homemade climbing claws any one???

I have all ready learned how to make a variety of ninja weapons, but i mant to make some climbing claws since they are really hard to come by, and illegal to ship. So dose anyone have a way to make these safely,)as trust your life with) with only basic tools and an arc welder. Cause i think that is only one of the few things I need to complete my homemade ninja getout. Any ideas for things needed???
