As a part time instructor working in rented space at a local boxing gym, I teach very small groups. Last night only two guys could make class, so they got very personal training. It's all cool, but too many classes like that and I can't pay my rent and association/instructor dues. Plus, it would be kind of depressing.
On the other hand, under unexpected circumstances even famous instructors can end up in situations like that. Once, back in the mid-80's I spent an entire afternoon privately doing chi-sau with my old Sifu, Leung Ting, because nobody else could get off work until evening!
