Now, I'm not ruling out the possibility that one or both of the officers may have a disciplinary history and this was the "last straw", but fired? Really?
While the "conduct unbecoming" clause is always a tool an overzealous administrator could hit you with, whatever happened to progressive discipline? Administrative punishment?
And the off duty officer washing the car? Fire her? Could she not go to a beach and have her picture taken? While participating in an event called "**** n Tats" is lowbrow for a cop to be participating in IMO, I think a verbal admonishment would be enough for her.
A South Carolina police officer has been relieved of his duties after a photo surfaced on Facebook of scantily-clad women posing on the hood of his town police cruiser.
However, he is not the only one suffering the consequences surrounding the scandalous photo.
One of the women who participated in the bikini car wash fundraiser, "**** n Tats," and is featured in the photo pin-up, is a Berkeley County sheriff's deputy, and might lose her job too, according to The Post and Chronicle.
