His son posted on his Facebook group that Dr. John LaTourrette passed away expectantly and peacefully in his sleep. It occurred about 3 weeks ago, but the family was contacting people personally before making it public.
Dr. LaTourrette was most famous for his "speed hitting" ads that ran for many years in Black Belt Magazine.
He held a 5th Degree Blackbelt under SGM Ed Parker, and an 8th Degree Blackbelt under SGM Al Tracy. He was given the rank of 10th Degree Blackbelt under SGM Jim Mitchell.
