Doing weights for martial arts and other junk.

There are 2 different approaches.

1. special training - You find out which MA technique that you want to train, you than design a weight training to enhance your MA skill.
2. general training - You make your body strong without thinking about MA skill. You then use your training body to work on MA skill.

IMO, 1 > 2.

The "general training" approach may not develop your leg strength for "sweep".
