China's Economic Ascent

Perhaps we are watching history repeat itself again. How many empires have risen to great heights, remained upon the crest, and then receded in our world. You only have to look at Great Britain to see the modern example. I have no doubt that China will become the preeminent economic force in the world, if they don't screw it up. The people are willing to work hard, and there are so many of them, they posses ingenuity and they are hungry for success and willing to sacrifice to achieve it.

Perhaps it is time to learn to speak Mandarin?

It is interesting to note just how much China's economy is influencing and in many ways driving ours. Up in my neck of the woods, where the definition for uffda translates to holy ****, Laiwu Steel, a Chinese company, is buying up many of the mines and steel mills. The steel they get from the MN Iron Range, the same steel that defeated the Japanese, is now being shipped to China by the ton.
