My band just recently played our first real gig. Previously we've been playing parties, plus we volunteered for a local event (which may play out into free advertising, since the event was sponsored by a local radio station). Well, not only has the owner of the bar we played at booked us again (he actually asked me before I had a chance to ask him), but another bar owner's wife caught our show, and now the other owner wants to book us based on her recommendation.
