Can women beat a man?

Sports are still segregated for the same reason schools and water fountains in the South were segregated.

The Archie Bunker vibe is strong with you.

Remember when John McEnroe said that Serena Williams would be ranked 700 if she competed in men's tennis? Serena Williams herself confirmed it. Straight from the source 😂

And that's what it takes. Neither are random woman vs random man.
So, the thread topic is "can".

You are saying "not that often". But that doesn't seem to align with all these videos of females dominating men in different situations.

If we keep going there will be an endless number of videos of women beating the crap out of men. And no real way of figuring out a %, which is why making claims like "most" or "more" is errant.

You don't seem to have any sources for your claims.

He was probably wrong. That's just a guess, and Serena is cooler than he is.

We do know this: they wouldn't be ranked higher than 203. Because that's what Karsten Braasch was ranked, and he handed both Williams' sisters their butts on the court. ;)

Tennis rankings require a lot more than just one match.

Tennis player huh?

Country club membership?

Random attack by a bigger guy on a lady who whoops him.

He's even going for leg takedowns and fails hard because she is strong and fast and gets away (Just Stand Up works, with training).

Self defense 101. This woman stopped her own rape.

Ah man, just when it was getting good…

I was done anyway. If he believes the odds of random/average man vs random/average woman is 50/50 and can't be convinced otherwise without a peer reviewed journal article, you can't argue with him. It's like arguing with a child who believes in certain things. If he needs to get one more last word in, he's welcome to it.

Well for me it's pretty simple: the thread title.
Are you sure?
Have you read the poorly-written question carefully?

"Can women beat a man?"

It's too vague to be answered.
How many women?
All women?
Any group of women?
How many?
Any one woman?
Any one man?

Can ...?
Would ...?
How likely is it that...?

The only way to answer it is to make assumptions about the women and the man, and I don't think you guys have agreed on your assumptions, or your premises, as rhetorical types would phrase it.

Well if a single woman can beat a man, then multiple women can definitely beat a man.

Why would we assume the average male is fit and strong enough to prey on the average woman? When we have so many examples of women kicking the crap out of men nowadays.

I think the assumption that men generally physically dominate most women might have been true years ago, before things like suffrage and equal rights.

Go to any good fight school nowadays you're gonna find quite a few skill females that would melt the face of the average guy on the street.

In light of the recent discussions, controversies of "trans" in women's sportive events seems like its still a valid point...

😂 suffrage and equal rights has what to do with physicality,,,,It might be argued they where attempts to get past, traditional values based on anthropomorphically characteristics of the human species...

In the military there are studies or at least there were many military studies done on the subject. ...none of them supporting that women in combative encounters a are better option or even an equal option.

In designing weapon systems, using human factors engineering, the differences are quite large...making systems more expensive to build in attempting to gender norm them...nothing that improves combative efficiency.... The same can be said for combative units being trained...

Why are some worried about single "military aged men" and not women crossing the southern border of the US...

Are there outliers, probably...
Should they be considered the norm in supporting "can a woman beat a man"

no...😐.

Very popular topic in combat sports. Can women defeat men in fights? Yes... but how did Lady Tyson, the greatest female boxer and kickboxer, actually do against an amateur male Muay Thai fighter? Lucia Rjiker was courageous enough to put her skills to the test.

Transexual topics are not on topic.

Actually, nothing is. Military combat, transexuals issues, the southern US border? Weapon systems???

traditional values based on anthropomorphically characteristics of the human species...
What does this even mean, dude.

By suffragetteism and equal rights, I thought it was clear: the right to vote = the right to not have a husband, hit the gym 5x a week, walk around looking sexy and svelte.

Women in a lot of traditional societies current and historical are not even allowed to train martial arts.

Do you believe you can't be beaten up by a random woman? A well trained one?

This video just proves what we already take for granted: a men can beat a woman.

Seriously, the Thai fighter was just better overall, gender had nothing to do with it.

From the report of the Presidential Commission on the Assignment of Women in the Armed Forces dated November 15, 1992, it states in part:

The average female Army recruit is 4.8 inches shorter, 31.7 pounds lighter, has 37.4 fewer pounds of muscle, and 5.7 more pounds of fat than the average male recruit.

She has only 55 percent of the upper-body strength and 72 percent of the lower-body strength.
An Army study done in 1988 found that women are more than twice as likely to suffer leg injuries and nearly five times as likely to suffer fractures as men.

Further, the Commission heard an abundance of expert testimony including:- women’s aerobic capacity is significantly lower, meaning they cannot carry as much as far as fast as men, and they are more susceptible to fatigue.

- in terms of physical capability, the upper five percent of women are at the level of the male median.

The average 20-to-30 year-old woman has the same aerobic capacity as a 50 year-old man."

What does it mean 🤔.

Men by virtue of being biologically male, start out at an advantage that is not easily over come...nor sustainable long term with out bad health effects for females..Other reports touch on bone density, pelvic girdle differences between males and females...

"The general structure of the female pelvis is thinner and less dense, in comparison to the thick and heavy male pelvis, which is designed to support a heavier body build. The true pelvis is wide and shallow in the female, and the pelvic inlet, also known as the superior pelvic aperture is wide, oval and rounded."

Thought 🤔 the many issues concerning "trans" competing in women's sporting events would make this very clear...
Taking hormone pills, or anything else will not change the basic skeletal structure.

Guess not...
