Kacey Sr. Grandmaster MTS Alumni Oct 3, 2008 #2 If you are learning the Ch'ang H'on pattern set (the one Gen. Choi created) then yes, it's a great reference. If not, it won't help you much, as the terminology will be different than what you're learning, and it doesn't contain other pattern sets.
