This year marks the 5th anniversary of the British Kenpo Karates annual Summer Camp which takes place on the 16th and 17th July 2005 at the Polyapes Scout Camp in Weybridge, Surrey. The Summer Camps founder, Mr Kevin Mills started the Summer Camp in London in 2001 in conjunction with the BKKU London Club with between 10 and 15 students. It has now grown to become the biggest and most looked forward to event in the BKKUs calendar with last years event being stretched to Camp capacity with over 50 students from various countries.
What makes the Camp special is that it is exactly what it infers a Camp!! with bunk beds, tents and a good old fashioned barbecue in between a host of excellent Seminars over the two days. Every year Mr Mills invites a guest Instructor to teach alongside him and past years have seen Mr Clyde T OBrient, Dr Ron Chapel and Mr Jorn Brandt hosting Seminars at the Camp.
This year we are extremely privileged to have Mr Edmund Parker as our Guest Instructor and Grand Master Bob Rose, the founder of the BKKU as our Honorary Guest.
Specific details will be posted shortly so keep watching this Space!!! Places as always are limited due to the location and nature of the Camp and places are restricted to BKKU members on a first come first served basis. Any non-BKKU member wishing to attend should contact Mr Kevin Mills in the first instance at [email protected] or 07778 921623.
