Bill Richardson

I think the most qualified guy on the democratic side is Bill Richardson. Sadly, I don't think he has what he takes to be elected president. (I mean that he's not charismatic nor does he "look presidential"). I think he'd be an excellent VP or better yet Secretary of State.

Thoughts on this?

He certainly has the credentials.

I can't put my finger on it, exactly, but there was always something about Governor Richardson that bothered me when he was serving President Clinton. I recall two prominent rolls for him in that administration ... most notably was the UN position.

Whatever the intangibles, Mr. Richardson has always been a 'can-do' type of person. Tasks set before him do get accomplished.

Sadly, I really think he blew it with his 'gayness is a choice' comment at the HRC debate.
