Is this a real bomb plot, or another like the fake Christmas tree bomb plot from last year? The one where it took over six months the FBI finally convince the "terrorist" to dial a number from a cell phone. All the headlines say, "FBI Foils Bomb Plot", but the articles fail to mention that the whole scenario was actually created by the government agency.

From the article, it looks like it might have been the real deal, and he was basically caught by the chemical supply industry not liking the shady way he was behaving. DOJ says it got a warrant and moved in on him.

Picric acid is not easy to deal with - very touchy. Kid was probably more likely to blow his own rear up before he got out the door than to pull this off.

I also wonder about the chemicals I've purchased for photographic use in developing B&W film. Oopsie.
