Great website! There are lots of great publications there on African martial arts of all sorts. More stuff I've never heard of. Thanks a lot! I will try to contact some of the instructors listed there to see if I can get an interview.

if you are very serious and want to take a deep dive into the various topics i definitely recommend Ed Powe and also very highly recommend Thomas Desh Obi's Engolo: Combat traditions in African and African Diaspora History. Both men are Ph.D.'s. Desh-Obi's work was his doctoral thesis.

I have not read this but it is available from Desh-Obi.
