A bit flabberghasted.

Not sure how many of you remember my ongoing adventures in high school band.....

Monday we had a booster meeting. Among a lot of wasted time I won't get back we (I) were informed that this one lady had died and the Spring concert would be dedicated to her.
The name did not ring a bell, I am still new to the club, and people names always give me trouble (I will probably not forget your pet's name ever...)

At the Concert I finally make the connection between the name and the face: a lady I had talked to a lot during football season. I did not know her well, but I liked her well enough.
I was absolutely floored. And not a peep made it through channels (then again thee was no communication in nearly 3 month)

Now, I know Facebook isn't all that it's cracked up to be, but why in the world would they not put a note on there? 'we are sorry to announce we lost out board member Miss Soandso'

Bad form.
not like I am one to go to funerals, but at least give somebody a chance to do the decent thing!
