World combat League

YEs and I see him every year at the Kick a thon here in Dallas our school always pays homage to his cherities

Watched it tonight. I was not impressed. It reminded me of green-belt TKD sparring from 1984. When the announcer said that the Miami-Philly fights were more active than in previous weeks I laughed heartily. This show does have it's niche...and I believe that niche is making people say, "You know, I could do that too!"

Straight up, these guys need more heavy bag training, more strength, & stamina as well. The only reason Miami won was because the Philly team was even MORE unprepared than they were. My Grandmother could outjab these guys. (Granny was MEAN, tho ;) ) The spinning backfists were not even AIMED...and it looked like most of the kicks were badly aimed as well or just for show. It reminded me of nothing less than USTA watered down TKD...but hey, it's fun for kids!
