A proper police force which is anti corruption rather than pro would be a huge step forward in Afghanistan, thought you may be interested in what colleagues are doing out there to put it on the right path.

They certainly have their work cut out for them. With such poverty its hard not for the police to need to earn a couple of dollars on the side.

A fascinating article, Tez and many thanks for posting it.

One thing that I came across in my student days when talking with my fellows from other nations was a real eye-opener for me back then. That was that they were astonished that the British people, largely, trusted their police force to be corruption-free and act to help them when they were in need. That knocked me for six for it was something that I had taken for granted all my life :lol:.

It just goes to show that sometimes you need to be properly thankful for what you have, even when you sometimes don't fully appreciate what it is that you possess.
