I would say choose whichever DVD teaches what you are wanting to learn.
None of them "teach" anything.

They are fliers... or training notes...

SKH and RVD have "instructional" DVDs - I recommend SKH if you are "learning" from them (and he has a great program to go along with it - for those who want to be a homeschool ninja).

As noted above: What do you want out of it...

Yes DW, thank you for pointing out the devil in the details. What i actually meant was choose whichever DVD that is demonstrating what you want to see.

Budo of Life...

if fact if your close enough come round and watch them all and then decide Budo of life!

I guess I'll be more specific. I am not looking for a training tool. Steven Hayes makes good training videos, though. "homeschool ninja"....hahaha.

I am looking for a video thats gonna make me do these things:

1. I want to go, "ooohhhhh, I get it" when I watch it.
2. I want to go "holy S**t that was cool"
3. a lot of info.
4. History
5. Not many weapons except maybe Tanto or small blades. throws, grappling, and takedowns are a favorite of mine but not necessary.

thats pretty much it. the first two are most important.

Get Ninja III The Domination - staring Sho Kosugi. HAHAHA:ultracool

All kidding aside... With all due respect, depending on your skill level, it might be better to go to a good dojo and train. IMHO, DVDs of techniques and such are really more beneficial to students who are advanced enough that they have a good understanding of proper movement and taijutsu. As someone stated, they are just fliers. I am not saying you are not experienced enough, I am just giving you some info, you can decide for yourself.

However, I would encourage reading good books... Such as "Ninpo:Wisdom for Life", "Understand? Good, Play!", etc.

I'm glad you are advanced enough to start worrying about history, because i myself am nowhere near the stage yet where i need to concern myself with historical details and such. Right now i could care less about the fine historical details of the Shinden Fudo ryu and i REALLY do not care which technique comes from which ryuha, just so long as i can use either the technique or it's principle on a fully active opponent. Yes i said active, not resistant. To me the difference between resistant and active is the difference between a child receiving corporal punishment and a guy trying to beat your skull in. One's resistant and one's active.

Anyway, sorry to go off on a tangent like that. I have taijutsu of the mouth...it just kinda flows...:idunno:

Well, based on the responses I am getting, Hatsumi's DVDs arent very good, and not worth watching....?

I am just looking for a cool video to watch that is hatsumi. I dont want to see "rad" movie ninja moves, or learn uber techniques from them. I just want to sit down and watch a movie.

now,
which one is good for that? all of them? seriously its not that hard?

All of them.
