hey... wait a tic... that sounds AWFULLY familiar.... whar have I heard THAT before?? Wasn't too long ago but it does seem like ages.

Although I was very young at the time {yes, even I was little once :lol:}, I remember the Torrey Canyon incident very well - the dying, oil soaked, fish, gulls and seals made a big impression on a child as you can imagine .

What effect the current big news leak is going to have I don't know but it won't be good that is for sure.

By the way, Caver, I don't know if it was just done for reasons of space but the map you posted has the Torrey at the wrong end of Britain - she foundered off Cornwall not Scotland.
