hi all, I am a third year university student and I'm working on my major project, my design is an interactive martial arts training device, and i have made a survey to collect some much needed insight on the topic, its only a few minutes long, so if you get the time will you please fill this form out and get any of your fellow martial artists to also fill it out?

Thank you for your time, Jay

I'll elaborate on one question that I don't feel I was very well able to answer, as well as a few questions that didn't make much sense in context.

First, the question "how important is training at home" is going to depend on the situation. If your gym is open for you to train enough at the gym, then home training isn't required at all. If your gym holds 4 classes a week, then home training is going to be needed. It also depends on how much you want to train (i.e. are they open in the morning?) and how many classes you're able to take (due to cost, class size, etc.).

What art you take will determine that as well. A boxer can get a lot more done at home than a wrestler.

The second issue is with the questions that relate to if I would use something for home training. If I don't have the space for home training, then I won't buy any product for it, no matter the price.

Done and done.

Done. @jay28o4 are you actually making a device, or just designing it? Either way would you be able to share your design afterwards here, I'd be interested to see what you came up with.
