10-21-2009 02:20 PM:The fight game is a world with short memories. How many fighters have to be tabbed the next big thing or an unbeatable force before people realize those tags should be reserved only for the true legends? Fedor Emelianenko and Anderson Silva have earned those tags. Lyoto Machida has not. At least not yet. You can't look much more devastating than he did in his UFC 98 win over Rashad Evans, but Fedor is 30-1 and Silva has won 10 straight UFC fights, nine by stoppage. Machida can creep closer to those guys if he disposes of Mauricio "Shogun" Rua in the same fashion.

So the bigger the minus number, the bigger the favorite. Anything over -300 is a huge favorite. The plus number is what you get if you a bet an underdog for $100
