I always liked Bill Moyers.

I'd read this speech before, and seen it on Free Speech TV.

Bill Moyers is simply magnificent. And, sadly, he's retiring this year.

We need more intellectuals of his standing in the progressive movement if we have any hope of winning the class war that the Right wages against us.

Well, Walter Cronkite "retired" too...if Moyers goes that route, I suspect he'll be freed up to do more speaking, and writing, and whatever else he feels impassioned to do.

We can but hope.
