Can't believe it only cost $20 per month for 4 days and 3 hours per week class (1974). That was 50 years ago.

I looked it up. The site I went to claims $20 in 1974 is equivalent to $127 in today's money as far as spending power. Man inflation is crazy. I also once read a book where a guy paid $50 a month for rent in NYC in the 60s.

When I was a student,

- Gasline was 23 cent per gallon.
- I worked as a dishwasher in 1971 for $1.20 an hour.
- I then worked in KFC in 1973 for $1.50 an hour.
- My 1974 UT Austin tuition was $75 a semester ($50 for tuition, $25 for school bus fare).
- My rent (1970 - 1971) was $28 per month.

Those were some good old days.

The upstairs right side window was a small room, and I paid $28 a month (1970 - 1971).
