Satisfaction - Rolling Stones (I hate this one with a passion)
Hotel California - Eagles
Stairway To Heaven - Led Zeppelin
Rhiannon - Fleetwood Mac (this one too)

Some others...

The Wall- Pink Floyd
Crazy on You and Magic Man- Heart

What about "Achey Breaky Heart"? Being played twice was overplay, and this song was played waaaaaaay more than twice.

Contrast that with "Carribean Queen" by Billy Ocean, or "Stayin Alive", both of which could never be played enough.

Teenage Wasteland - The Who

The guy in the office next to me plays his radio on a local "Classic Rock" station at a level just below my hearing threshold (when I wear my headphones). I hear the high, whiny part of that song at least 3 times a day, every single <bleep>ing day.

Aargh.

:flame:

Friends in Low Places - Garth Brooks
Macarena - ???

And, of course, anything by Britney Spears

"living the vida loca" ricky martin

now they have it so you can learn on the piano. who'd want to?

Joker--Steve Miller Band
Desperado--Eagles

Any Bob Seger (SP?). Has anyone ever bought his records, or are they just overplayed on the radio? What's up with that? It's like the sonic equivalent of filler in dog food.

Another Brick In The Wall by Pink Floyd.
Great (entire) album but the song being played every time someone requests some Floyd just drives me nuts.

"Radar Love"

I remember hearing this on the radio about 1974 and saying at least I won't have to hear this song again in 20 years. Here it is 30 years later and it was just played again.

That would be Baba O'Reilly.

And I disagree. Never enough of the older Who played on the radio. Then again, Who's Next is a great album.

Clapton in rotation - always the same three songs. Again - his older work should be played - when he was with Cream and Blind Faith.

Anything by BoneyM especially come the festive season, and especially in shopping malls.

Mary's boy child,
Jesus Christ,
was born on Christmas Day....

 so that's why they called it Christmas?

lately it seems anything by avril lavigne. All time any Bryan Adams song.

Man,the radio stations up north must really suck!Just kidding! The overplayed songs are just as bad all over the country. What I really hate are the oldies stations who play 50's and 60's stuff.Don't get me wrong,I like all music except hip hop and rap,but the oldies stations have one set criteria for songs that are played on them, they have to have been # one hits at one time. That's actually ok until you have heard the same songs over and over until you realize the menu is only forty or fifty songs. My Dad likes to advertise on one of these stations(which makes no sense to me because we are kinda preaching to the chior when we do it),but here are allot of songs fron those era's that are really great songs that never hit no. one status that people would love to hear again. The best songs,INMHO are not the most popular songs.Only the dumbest, most morinic songs become #1.
