Soon, the light bulb will be no more. We will light our homes with mercury filled, curly bulbs, which are hazardous material accidents just waiting to happen. Since the steps to clean up after a mercury filled bulb require hazmat teams and evacuation, how soon before we are required to forgo even those. When will we be cursing the darkness as our ancestors did, sometimes huddling around a single candle, as we stare fearfully into the night. All because corrupt politicians and scientists, in their infinite wisdom, decided that hazardous material filled curly bulbs are more environmentally friendly than our old friend the incandesant light bulb.
