12-31-2009 10:05 PM:Shinya Aoki may have cemented his reputation as the most vicious fighter in mixed martial during his fight last night in Japan. The Japanese phenom, who looks more like a nerdy schoolboy than a trained killer, developed a real nasty streak in the second half of 2009. Aoki, 26, made it a point to rant about a lack of respect the United States' top promotion, the UFC, after his last few wins.

Last night, he did a lot more than talk trash. You think Brock Lesnar's behavior at UFC 100 was crazy? Aoki blew away the UFC heavyweight champ. The only thing missing was smashing Mizuto Hirota with a steel chair.

Watch the video (2:19 mark) but only if your stomach is strong.

Aoki, one of the best submission fighters in the world, got Hirota twisted up with his arm behind his back. Hiroto wouldn't submit via tap and Aoki broke his arm. It happens. But when Aoki stood up and gave the seriously injured loser the finger, he may have moved to the top of the list for bad sportsmanship in all of sports. A top moment of the decade on the final day, wow!

There was plenty of heat going into this fight. Aoki, 23, has been lauded as one the most dangerous submission artists in the world. Hirota mocked Aoki's jiu-jitsu. Apparently it's pretty good and Aoki took real offense to Hirota's trash talking.
