Regarding the concept of 'maai' in kendo, I have been trying to put together the Korean terminology equivalents.
Here is what I have so far.
Maai = 간격 Gan gyeong: distance; interval
Chika ma = 근처간 Geun cheon gan: close distance
Isoku itto no ma = 일족일도 Il-jok il-do: One step striking distance
Toi ma = 멀리간 Beol-li gan: far distance
Yokote kosa = One gan: sword tips crossed
Verification on both the correctness of the terms and the the Hangeul spelling is appreciated.
Thank you,
Daniel
