Hey,
I just read an article and I need to find the link again, they implanted electrodes into a monkey's brain that controll a prostetic arm, with full range of motion just like a real arm, and the monkey can use it just like his normal arm. The Article said that they will begin using these as replacement limbs for humans who have lost theirs within 2 years, and that soon they hope to use the technology to "repair" spinal cord damage.
So... in say... what... 10 years... is Cybernetic limb replacement going to be an "elective surgery"?
