teaching marxism on the tax payer dime

Let me see....

Oh, right!
Marxism was a driving philosophy of the outgoing 19th century. A historical thought process that influenced much of the political/historical events in the 1st half of the 20th century - and beyond.

Next...

So because you don't agree with it, itshould not be taught at all. With that thinking we should not teach anything about comunism, socialism, moanarchies, oligachies, etc. Nonsense.

or evolution?

Well, missing the point of the video, she is not teaching about Marxism as an educational topic, she is talking about indoctrination into marxist theory, there is a vast difference.

I don't see a problem here. One of the jobs of quality education is to expose students to minority and alternative viewpoints. Most of them will grow up to appreciate capitalism instead of communism for the same reason they will appreciate a steak instead of a kick to the nads.

One is simply better. If you truly believe in capitalism, you're not afraid of people being exposed to other ideas.

When the audience has no choice in the matter and is with the teacher 6 hours a day, I have a problem with that, especially when the teacher is not talking about an actual subject but injecting marxist thought into the gaps in the regular curriculum.

Its easier to call everyone a socialist if you don't understand the term.:mst:

Which is why I keep trying to explain the term to the lefties out there who constantly use it improperly to mislabel conservatives as Fascists/nazis when those terms come closer to describing big government tax and spend liberalism. I will keep trying though. Eventually they might investigate the terms and see beyond the typical response "...But...fascists are rightwing..." which is not the case at all.

Remember, Mussolini came up with the term to differentiate his brand of socialism from the international socialists in russia. The russians embraced the term to distinguish themselves from the italian and german socialists who were national socialists and not international socialists. They were competeing for the same people and marketing is everything, don't you know.

The last sentence came the closest. Fascism is more about the popularity of an idea.

Our university is mostly leftist and when i was going there yeah they taught a lot of leftist stuff but also other ideas as well such as adam smith.

Myself I dont believe in indoctrinating people. I yeah give em my views on things and they'll get different views from the right wing religious joe blow down the road. Then they can make up their own minds.
