I had never heard of this before.Is anyone here familiar with the concept of Taido?I heard it's similar to Karate....

Really beautiful MA in its minimalism.

In what way was that minimalist? It's definitely an interesting art, quite fascinating (if not somewhat confusing, in terms of ruleset) to watch, but a lot of the movements seem to be quite acrobatic in nature.
Compared to many other arts I've seen (mostly Japanese ones, as that is my background), Taito seems quite elaborate, not minimalist at all.
