Oh come on, Xue. Cough up some cash. I'll take you for a ride in it. Maybe we can see some sharks...

I've seen those... they're basically surface craft that can dip under like a jetski. Boring...

80-82 degree water is too warm for you? Cool. We can go ice diving then. :D

Feel free to come up to "real" upstate NY anytime...chip a hole in the ice and go diving..... I'll watch... form the restaurant.... on shore :D

You can't watch from on top of the ice! You won't see anything!

I don't actually do ice diving. It's too damned cold.

I'll see you crawl though the whole and come out freezing... that is enough for me :D

The way the weather has been here lately...below zero.... I am betting it is awfully cold in the water of the lake I'm thinking about

Well... ice diving is done in a dry suit with electric heated long underwear. I'd probably be at least as warm as you. :)

maybe, but you won't be holding a drink :D

You sure about that? There are whole threads on SCUBA forums about the best snacks to take for long decompression stops...

Personally, I swear by chocolate covered Oreos. The chocolate coating keeps them crisp while you're transferring them from baggy to mouth.
I do not, however, recommend carbonated beverages. Below about 60 feet, they no longer fizz. So you drink them. Fine. But then you ascend, and the pressure goes down...
That's much worse than any SCUBA diver/shark encounter. Trust me.

I will have to take your word on that one.... I'm not diving with sharks and I don't drink carbonated beverages...maybe you could give them to the sharks :D

Nope. Wetsuit. You can dump some warm water into it if you want, but the rest of us would call you a wuss. We'd still let you dive with us, tho. In Minnesota...

Is that what you call it when you pee in your wetsuit there?

In the Caribbean, we call it "checking the propeller" when we need to strip out of some gear and then get back in the water...

Unless it's the Warhammer Maneuver...that's a totally different thing!
