Should BJJ include these thaining?

At some point people are going to realize that all of that flashy Shaolin and Wushu stuff that looks neat while people are jumping around on the ground or doing acrobatic crap in mid-air, like what is shown in the original videos of this thread, has nothing to do with fighting and everything to do with taking people's money and looking cool on TV or in movies.

It's a performance art, not a martial art. It's the XMA of the Eastern world. Nothing more. It might have been once, but not anymore.
 
Perhaps its a function of the demo - ideally a breakfall puts you into a reasonable defensive position, which he wasn't

The "地趟 (De Tang) - ground laying" system is the only system that deals with "some" ground work in CMA. It is an ancient CMA system before the communist Chinese government made it into a modern dancing.

Again, we are not talking about ground game here but how to get back up when your opponent is not holding on you.
