Saving youtube videos

How does one save youtube videos (without hacking or great digital skills?)

Are you trying to save someone else’s YouTube video to your own collection? I assume that is one reason people put their videos on YouTube: to prevent people from doing that. They want to share the video with the world, but want to maintain control over it. They don’t want people taking the video and doing other stuff with it.

So short of hacking (stealing) it, i imagine it isn’t possible.
