Since we have some clips of one of my favorite fighters of all time (Jack Dempsey), I thought I would include some clips of my favorite Modern Day fighter.

In his prime, Roy Jones Jr. embodied aggressive defense and ring generalship. His long left hook was awesome, like Dempseys. He also could fire his shots from anywhere, and make them knock out quality...

And probably the best one out of them...

Man...I could watch that last clip all day long. In fact, I think I could even hold an online conversation with myself on this one. I'll just keep watching these clips and renewing the thread every so often talking about how sweet Jones was... ;)

In all seriousness, opinions on his aggressive defense? Aggressive defense being that his defense to attacks were a product of his offense (slipping to create openings, counterpunching, etc.) rather then using specific movements for defense (blocking, covering, etc.)?

Any other clips or examples of other fighters who showed good examples of this?

Paul
