Boxing heavyweight champ George Foreman dies at 76

Former heavyweight boxing champion George Foreman, known as much for his gregarious personality as his vicious right hook, died Friday. He was 76 years old.

One of my favorite boxers of all time. Enjoyed his fights and corresponded with him a number of times back in the late 90s and early 2000s. A legendary boxer and wonderful man who was both gifted and generous. RIP George

Foreman will always be a legend and a larger than life figure. He not only won the title twice and embodied the traits of a true champion, but he's a man that truly won at life. He had the discipline, commitment, heart and above all, humility to be an exemplary heavyweight champion. He was both a great man AND a good man. His goodness never stopped him from being great, and the heights he achieved with his greatness never eroded his goodness. RIP Champ
