Resizing images

How can I easily resize the images I post using my iPad? They’re often far too big for my posts. Do I have to use a third-party online facility; they’re tiresome due to their ‘pixel ‘ sizing which is more opaque than the imperial system to me.

How I miss Photoshop…😢

Did you try using apples "photos" or maybe the "preview" app. ?

Lightroom from Adobe also works.

I normally use Photoshop. However for online, I've used Ezgif resize, which seems more opaque to me...

The only way I know how is take a screenshot with my phone. (I only use my phone for the forum because I won’t put my laptop online.) Then crop the edges, then it fits.

The easiest way to make a picture smaller on an iPad is to take a screen shot of it, then paste that into the post here. The screen shot will be pretty much perfect to post.

On newer iPads and iPhones, the power and volume down buttons together snap a screen grab. Just do that, crop it however you like, the copy and paste directly into the post window. This also has the added advantage of stripping out any meta data that may be in the original file.

Here’s a picture of one of my Christmas presents as an example. The original file is too big to post.
