If you like him there should be no problem in finding out the reasoning why he wants you to learn a few things. A good instructor is very hard to come by now-a-days with credentials.

I can handle a little here and there and don't want to leave all of the instructors are top notch. I just hope this isn't a segway to where the center is heading since mma is so popular. And to answer the question where I train, im in Rhode Island.
