As MMA grows in popularity so does the amount of new companies trying to make a buck off of the fighters. Not everyone practices the most honest business habits. Stories are always circulating about johnny-come-lately sponsors who don't pay up even after a fighter delivered the agreed upon exposure.
Nate Quarry (pictured on the right) may be dealing with this sort of situation. The veteran fighter alleges that his apparel sponsor for Ultimate Fight Night 19 has already bounced two checks. "The Rock" tweeted last night that promises don't pay mortgages especially around the holidays.
This particular company has had pretty good success in signing on fighters recently. One has to wonder is Quarry's quandary is an isolated story.
