Portugese & Canary Island Stick Fighting

HI

has anybody in this forum practised either of these arts??, what are the similarities, do the only use a long stick??

I do think they use a longer stick, yes. See here and here.

in the budo international article on portugese stick fighting i saw them also use a stick which looked about 30inches long know anything about this?
