B.J. Penn is exactly where he belongs. Being a lightweight (155 pounds) forces him to stay on his diet year round. Penn seems to have found a new dedication to conditioning working with Marv Marinovich. Things are going well when you can eat a meal like this less than two weeks before your fight.

Penn also seems fired up by the string of young lions who want their shot at the top five pound-for-pounder. The Hawaiian faces Diego Sanchez next week in Memphis at UFC 107. After that, no doubt guys like Gray Maynard, Frank Edgar or Tyson Griffin would like a shot. All three could probably stay off the mat against Penn and their standup would more than challenge him. Or would it?
