Overcoming Fear

The things that I actually fear have nothing to do with fighting or danger. I can stay calm in those situations. I fear more from daily life occurrences than I do from any punch or weapon.

I don't have much to add to this - other than to say a good part of the reason I got in martial arts two years ago, was to finally start to deal with fear - over conflict, over physical harm, aggression, violence, over ********. Not that I want to fight, but I want to be in place where I can be at full peace with myself - to walk away - or to engage - which ever is the best choice.

Fear has served me well so far, I have no problem being afraid of things.

To those of you who do not experience fear - wait until you get married. Then you'll know what real fear is.
