Rivera, 37, returned to the cage in April but looked sluggish in a win over Nissen Osterneck. He gassed badly in that fight and there immediate talked of retirement for the 37-year-old Puerto Rican-American. Rivera decided to go on and scored a devastating win over Rob Kimmons in fight No. 3 at UFC 104. Rivera dropped Kimmons in the first 10 seconds of the third round and then busted him wide open 15 seconds later. Kimmons, spouting blood from his brow, couldn't hold out any longer and the fight was stopped at 1:53 of the round.

You could see this one coming. Rivera is a good size middleweight at 6-foot-1. Kimmons, with extra belly fat at 5-9, should be down at welterweight. Rivera (17-7, 6-5 UFC) won the first two rounds with the more efficient striking.
