Piaggio MP3 500

Well, it looks neat, but at nearly 10,000 (u.s.) bucks (tax, license, et al) one has to wonder about the fuel economy, which I imagine should be fairly good but looking about the site couldn't find anything on it.
Looks like a fun little ride though.

"The Piaggio MP3 500 is the three-wheeler for people who want to stand out."

No kidding

Normally the 2 tires are in the back of a 3-wheeler..I wonder how this configuration affects handling???

They claim it handles very well and is very stable but then they would claim that :D

I am wondering what type of license you would need.

In NYS there are 2 and 3 wheel licenses but the 3 wheel if for a trike like you are talking about. I wonder if that would apply

In Oregon it would be a motorcycle license. If it has fewer than four wheels it insures and licenses like a bike.

{ex-biker bites lip and says nothing}

a three-wheeled scooter ... must not scorn ... must not scorn ... must not scorn ... arrrgh!

HEY!!! I use to hang out in bars that had signs on the door

"No colors no knives no guns allowed"

Back in the days I looked like any Hells Angel you never want to ever run into. :uhyeah:

:D

Sorry, Xue, regardless of your past, you're on an uphill wicket convincing this old fellow that a scooter is a bike, let alone a three wheeled one :p.

 Aye, that it is :D. I suppose it stops it falling over at traffic lights and it is narrower than a trike (worst of both worlds that type of machine ... and yet they still look cool  )
