Ok, so the intention of hacking gmail accounts is new.

This is probably more serious than just gmail. Google does more than just gmail, they also provide full corporate e-mail services. My corporate mail with our own domain, calendar, e-doc storage, HR intranet, etc. is all hosted by Google.

You hack the email you can send them, or friends, links with viruses...and I am really thinking amy wise....

There is a good bit of money to be made...and I am not the least bit surprised China is fiddling with it.
