After hearing a Local Spokane Washington DJ miss-pronunce "D'yer Mak'er" and having no way to call the Station to *****. I thought I would go international and Make a Martial Talk member rule. From here on out you shall all pronounce that song title "JAMAICA". Thank you.

Yes, Ja Ma ca like the place, "my wife went on vacation."
"Jamaca?"
"No, She went on her own accord"

ahhhh...Jamaica!

I've always pronounced it Jer Mayker, except when I was very young and then I did pronounce it Dyer Maker.

Oh now that is NOT fair. There is no way in heck a Bostonian can pronounce "Jamaica" as Ja ma ca.

But as long as Jer-MAY-kerr is acceptable, then we're good. :D

I've always pronounced it Jer Mayker

That IS how it is pronounced. Remember: they had a British accent.

It is supposed to be a play on words between, yes, Jamaica, and

"Did ya make 'er?"

I would argue thr R is silent and sounds just as cockney with out its pronunciation.

I have to agree with this, I use to be one and it took me years of living in NY before I could say that.

Aye, and we had a zip code in common :D :D
