I lurked sporadically around here for a while and finally joined. I studied Muay Thai and BJJ a few years ago, but had to take a few months off after eye surgery complications. A few months turned into a few years. Last year, my son (now 13) started taking American Kenpo at a local school. I really liked the style and school, so when my son got moved to the adult class, I decided to join as well. It's a blast (and sometimes humbling) to train with my son. Our school also has an MMA/grappling class one night, so I've been able to get back into that as well.

I'm getting ready to test for my yellow belt and my son is about to test for blue.
