It's been interesting how many black people are owning up to casting their vote his way due solely to race. Not only people with some degree of visibility, but many I meet day to day through work etc.

As to pro business, it's kinda funny it takes someone like this to "point that out" as though very many who actually own a business ever thought he was pro business. Well, he may be pro business if they fit within his command economy and central planning, but that isn't really "pro business" in any laissez faire sense.

As to gas prices, I have some progressive friends from my college days who readily say they hope gas prices hit 6, 8, 10 dollars, so as to increase the economic pain associated with what is, in their opinion, a product (fossil fuel) that we should move away from, mostly for environmental reasons, but for others as well. In fact, one of them just posted as much on my FB page.

Obama's past statements and writings make it pretty clear he feels the same way. Now, I don't have a problem with that. I don't agree, but what I mean is that I see it as a difference in opinion on the environment, economics, energy policy etc..... but when they are honest about it, we can at least frame a debate. I'm all for renewable and alternative energy, but my means to the end differs.

What I can't stand is Obama's constant hiding of his true policy agendas, simply because they would be a hard sell to the average American.

His recent tactic of distraction with immigration at this stage in the game is something else. Tragedy is, it will likely work.
