PS - Why in the heck would NASA grind this thing to dust? So many professional people think it looks like a crinoid wouldn't it have been best to study it? Instead, NASA (the government/THEY) is/are trying to get us to forget about it. hmmmmm

How else could they have studied it? They've got the photo, so if all the other diagnostic equipment they have there involves obliterating it and running it through various spectrometers, why not? Might be a bit tricky to get it back here! Ender, any idea what other tools they have on board? Anyway, if there's fossils about, they'll come across some more (I'm not convinced by those 'blastoids').
