Two things:

1) Metal fans rejoice! Rob Halford has reuinited with Judas Priest and a tour is planned for 2004.

2) Rock fans despair! I've just heard a Mariah Carey rendition of Def Leppard's "Bringin' on the Heartbreak". The video featured Dave Navarro 'playing' guitar. I do believe this is the first sign of the coming Apocalypse.
